Last weekend my wife and I purchased a 24ft diameter by 52in deep above ground swimming pool. I don’t like the filter system that came with the pool so I do plan on upgrading the filter system. I have been looking at a sand filter system, but we also have the issue of what to use to keep the pool water safe and clean. I am familiar with Chlorine and don’t have a problem using it, but I have been hearing a lot about using a Salt system instead.
Can anyone give me the lowdown on the chlorine vs. salt for our pool? Also can you tell me if I can use a sand filter on a salt system? I would rather avoid using the paper filter cartridges (they don’t last very long and I get tired of buying them.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need some more detail (s).
Thank you for your time.
